This position is for a kind caring girl to live in a very nice house in Addlestone, Surrey, about 35 miles from London (30 minutes to Waterloo). The house is my mothers who is in her mid 80's and she lives on the ground floor and so the successful applicant will have the top floor (three rooms and a bathroom) to themselves.My mother is bright and 'with it' and is very independant spirited with a good sense of humour but has Parkinson disease so is nearly housebound and is finding moving around more difficult. She refuses to leave our family home and so she now needs a bit of help.My mother has visits from professional carers 4 times a day as she is mobile but a bit shakey on her feet. The carers do all of the dressing, undressing and washing of my mother and a bit of cooking.What I really want is someone who can keep an eye on her between times, provide some company for her, prepare her a little food, do the shopping, tend the garden, keep the house clean and tidy etc...and most imporatntly phone me if my mother needs me, which she will not do herself.My mother is a generous and wonderful woman who is finding getting older very humiliating. She is getting frustrated that she cant just pop to the shops etc.The job would be for five days a week and around 5 hours a day leaving plenty of time to study etc. Brooklands Technical College, Weybridge is easy to get to.The au pair would be asked to stay in with my mother in the evenings at least 4 times per week but would not necessarily have to sit wth my mother all of that time. More than a mother

It was true, she did feel very tired, sapped of all energy. And so Mary went and lay down on the children’s bed, nestling her head on the mound of clothes that served as a head rest.
She had always wanted to be a mother, but fate had decided otherwise. Six years ago, Mary was diagnosed with terminal cancer, and it was now starting to take it’s toll. Not one to dwell on the misgivings of nature, she embraced her situation, then used her time and resources in taking care of orphaned children. For all the six years, she had mothered the whole twenty eight children at Mama Maria Home, and now the tables had turned. It was the children taking care of Mary, attending to her every need and spending every spare minute with her.
She had wanted to be a mother, and as she looked at all the faces surrounding her, she knew deep in her heart that motherhood could never come in a better packaged. She closed her eyes, and silently prayed for blessings upon them all, all these sweet angels.

The journey begins

My journey started just like everyone else's... an exciting ride from Mama Africa, to a land of greener pastures. We all know that not all that glitters is gold, but then again, every cloud has a silver lining.
Call it luck, call it blessings, but I found myself in a postition where i was called for several jobs at the same moment, yet many friends and acquintances were complaining of no jobs at all. So I have taken it upon myself to share the various available jobs for all - papered, non-papered, skilled, semi-skilled, permanent, temporary... all of ya - at a small fee.
